Varanasi: In a significant step towards digitalization, the Indian Institute of
Technology (Banaras Hindu University) has launched 'Samarth Portal' for its
employees and acader staff to effortlessly access their leave balances,
salary details, and other pertinent
financial records.

Nodal officer of IIT Samarth and deputy registrar Devendra Pratap said this portal empowers employees and faculty to peruse their personal information,
encompassing leave balances, salary particulars, and additional financial data in lesser time with accuracy and transparency.
To access the portal, one needs to navigate to iitbhu.samarth.ac.in and with employee ID and secure password, they can gain access to a comprehensive overview of their service profile, leave balances, salary information, educational background, and more.

Registrar Rajan Srivastava said that the institute is poised to introduce novel features for students on the 'Samarth Portal.' In the near future, students will be able to complete processes pertaining to hostel/room allocation, fee payment, and mess management through the portal. This transformative step will greatly simplify the navigation of various institutional procedures and streamline the completion of essential forms. Moreover, the institute envisions integrating file and bill payment tracking into the 'Samarth Portal,' further bolstering transparency and efficiency in administrative processes.

Swati Biswas, the official spokesperson and joint registrar of the institute, emphasized that the ultimate objective is to equip all students, faculty, and staff with cutting-edge technological tools. The 'Samarth Portal' represents a crucial component of their relentless pursuit of digital transformation and their unwavering commitment to enhancing user-friendliness across all processes.
