'With Center's Samarth portal, Delhi University's exam fee collection doubles' published in The Financial Express (on Dec 12, 2021) highlights how Samarth has been able to provide an effective mechanism to ensure checks and balances with regard to the transfer of exam fees to the University. The media story quotes DS Rawat, Dean, Examinations stating how the Samarth portal has facilitated students to fill their examination forms and pay accordingly. “Samarth has made exam fees collection a centralised process. Earlier, colleges would collect this money but many wouldn’t pay to the university in full. It was difficult to keep a track of the number of students and the corresponding fee from various colleges under the university,” said DS Rawat.
