Samarth at the New Delhi World Book Fair (Feb 25-March 5)

Samarth participated at the recently concluded New Delhi World Book Fair (Feb , 25-March 5) at Pragati Maidan, using the platform to showcase its work through two stalss . One stall was on a sharing basis with Diksha (Digital Infrastructure for Knowledge Sharing) AICTE and NCERT at the NEP Pavilion while the other, was on a standalone basis.

Visitors to the Samarth stalls ranged from academicians to University Vice Chancellors to officials from agencies like NCERT and IITs; from students who were familiar with the Samarth portal for their college admissions to students currently studying in the 12th standard and looking at appearing for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) next year; to parents wanting to know about the CUET process to school teachers expressing how the Samarth eGov portal could be of use in their school settings; to people with an interest in technology driven educational innovations and private agencies from the education sector.

With the NEP Pavillion being a highlight at the New Delhi World Book Fair, a display on how Samarth embraces elements from the National Education Policy (NEP) was a theme that caught the interest of many visitors. Taking the opportunity of the NEP Pavilion and the provision of a platform to host events, a panel discussion on ‘CUET (UG) 2023’ was held on March 2 at FF-4.

The panel discussed at length on how students can register for CUET for admission for Undergraduate Courses; what areas to keep in mind while deciding on colleges and courses to study; how CUET has benefitted students through uniform admission process vis a vis an earlier time when parents and students had to visit each college to get an admission spot. The discussion also highlighted how the NTA is setting up support centers across the country to assist students in the CUET process.
