Assam: 1,21,384 Students Register in Samarth Portal.
1,21,384 students have registered in the Samarth Portal admission for undergraduate (UG) courses for the academic session of 2025-26.

GUWAHATI: As many as 1,21,384 students have registered in the Samarth Portal admission for undergraduate (UG) courses for the academic session of 2025-26. Through the Samarth portal, there will be two types of admission processes done: one is for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) and the other is for non-CUET.

The Samarth portal has been opened for registration by students for admission for the academic year 2025-26 from April 11. On June 2, the first merit list will be published for non-CUET students; admission for students featuring in the first merit list will take place on June 4 and June 5. On June 7, the second merit list will be published, and admissions for those in the second merit list will be held on June 9 and June 10. Spot admission will take place between June 11 and June 14. And the commencement of the first semester classes will be held from August 1.

For students appearing for CUET, the Samarth portal will be opened on July 5 till July 13 for registration and programme selection. On July 19, the first merit list will be published, and the admission will take place on July 21 and July 22. On July 23, the second merit list will be published, and on July 25 and July 26, the admission will take place. The spot admission will take place on July 28. There will be the final spot admission taking place from July 29 to July 31 for both the non-CUET and CUET applicants.

The Department of Higher Education (DHE) has made elaborate arrangements for offering technical support to Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) and students and for grievance redressal on a real-time basis. The DHE further said that HEIs have been divided district-wise into zonal coordinators and mentor colleges for hand-holding institutions that require support during the admission process.
